Jinggangshan University School of Medicine consists of four schools: School of Basic Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine, School of Nursing, and School of Traditional Chinese Medicine. There are 7 undergraduate majors in clinical medicine, stomatology, traditional Chinese medicine, preventive medicine, pharmacy, nursing, and rehabilitation therapy. In 2016, both the clinical medicine major and the traditional Chinese medicine major passed the professional certification of the Ministry of Education, and the clinical medicine professional certification was extended to 2025. The majors of traditional Chinese medicine and nursing are the first-class undergraduate majors in Jiangxi Province, and the majors of traditional Chinese medicine and preventive medicine are four-star majors in Jiangxi Province. Clinical medicine, pharmacy and nursing are rated as core majors by the school. The department has signed a joint undergraduate training agreement with Tongji University, Xiamen University and Wenzhou Medical University. Outstanding students majoring in clinical medicine, nursing, pharmacy and rehabilitation therapy can be selected for joint training at Tongji University, Xiamen University and Wenzhou Medical University.

The department currently has 120 full-time teachers, including 13 professors, 36 associate professors, and 25 teachers with doctorate degrees (there are also 3 doctoral students). Among the full-time teachers, there is 1 advanced worker in Jiangxi Province, 1 candidate for Jiangxi Province’s “New Century Talents Project”, 1 famous teaching teacher in Jiangxi Province, 1 teacher targeted for training as “Jiangxi Province Young Scientist (Jinggang Star)”, There are 7 key young and middle-aged teachers in colleges and universities in Jiangxi Province, 1 provincial model teacher, 1 provincial gold medal professor, 9 provincial health system academic and technical leadership training candidates, 3 school-level academic leaders, and 21 master’s degree tutors.

The Faculty has the National Physician Qualification Examination (Clinical Category) Practical Skills Examination Base, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s “Specialized, Specialized and New” Industry College, the Jinggangshan University Branch Center of the Online Cooperation Research Center of the Ministry of Education of China Evidence-Based Medicine, the Key Laboratory of Medical Biotechnology in Ji’an City, Jinggangshan University Clinical Medical Research Center, Jinggangshan University Experimental Animal Center, Ji’an Medical Dispute Autopsy Center, Jinggangshan University Neurodegenerative Disease and Aging Research Center and other teaching and research institutions. There are life science hall, basic medical experiment center, clinical skill center, pharmacy comprehensive laboratory, preventive medicine comprehensive laboratory, basic nursing comprehensive laboratory, rehabilitation therapy comprehensive laboratory, morphology virtual simulation laboratory and Chinese herbal medicine botanical garden, etc. platform. There are 1 directly affiliated hospital and 5 non-directly affiliated hospitals.

The Faculty has 1 Shenshuo construction discipline (public health), 2 Shenshuo cultivation disciplines (clinical medicine and nursing), and 2 Shenshuo supporting disciplines (Chinese medicine and pharmacy). In recent years, 3 national-level excellent doctor education and training programs (clinical medicine and traditional Chinese medicine), 1 national-level college student off-campus practice education base construction project, 1 provincial-level teaching team, provincial-level quality resource sharing courses and provincial-level There is one bilingual teaching demonstration course at the provincial level and 4 first-class courses at the provincial level. Won 1 second prize of Jiangxi Provincial Teaching Achievement Award and 1 third prize of Jiangxi Provincial Science and Technology Award.

The Faculty has solidly promoted education and teaching reform and talent training model innovation, strengthened clinical practice links, and continuously improved the quality of talent training. In recent years, the passing rates of the National Medical Practitioner Examination for graduates of clinical medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, stomatology and other majors are 8.10%, 11.81% and 8.90% higher than the national average respectively. Current students have been approved for 26 national-level university student innovative experimental projects, 13 provincial-level university student innovative experimental projects, and 89 school-level university student innovative experimental projects; they have won 2 third prizes in the “Challenge Cup” national competition and the first prize in the provincial competition. 1, 5 second prizes, 7 third prizes, 4 first prizes, 2 second prizes and 1 third prize in school competitions, 2 excellence awards; 4 third prizes for national undergraduate basic medical innovation research In the project, current students have published 45 papers, including 20 papers published by undergraduate students as the first author, 7 papers included in SCI, 7 papers in CSCD journals, 2 papers in Peking University core journals, participated in the writing of 2 monographs, and 2 papers were published. It was rated as the top ten papers of the school. Graduates of clinical medicine, nursing, and preventive medicine participated in the National Higher Medical Schools Clinical Skills Competition (East China Region) and won the third prize for the group in each session. The average employment rate of graduates in the past five years has been higher than the provincial average, and the average postgraduate admission rate of graduates is around 21%.
